Supporting the creation and appreciation of the visual arts in Manawatu...and beyond

Annabel Neall

I grew up in Central Hawkes Bay, always painting and drawing.
During the sixties I trained as a nurse and midwife and then traveled overseas for my OE; visiting Europe, the Middle East and Australia.
I attended several weekend art schools taken by such artists as Pat Hanley and Louise Henderson. I studied and gained Preliminary Fine Arts and completed several art papers through Massey University.
Mostly I have exhibited in the Taylor-Jensen Art Gallery as well as in Havelock North, Auckland and Wellington. In 2016 I had a solo exhibition in the Te Manawa Museum of Art, Science & History.
Abstract paintings are what I usually do nowadays, in mixed media and acrylic paint. To this I often add crayon, charcoal, pencil and collage marks.
